When an Eastman mandolin comes back to my shop for maintenance, I'm always impressed with how their sound matures over time.  This is a common characteristic of a hand-carved, hand-finished mandolin.  It's a great investment to buy a mandolin that sounds good but will continue to sound better and better with time!

Eastman A Style Mandolins

The Eastman 304 mandolin is an entry point for those seeking quality craftsmanship and vintage tone.  It features an oval hole for round, warm tones.  It has a carved solid spruce top, carved maple back and sides, pleasing tones and excellent sound projection.

The Eastman 305 mandolin is an entry point for those seeking quality craftsmanship and vintage tone.  The f-holes offer excellent projection and focused tone.  It has a carved solid spruce top and carved maple back and sides.

The Eastman 404 mandolin is individually hand-built using traditional materials and Old World craftsmanship.  It features a solid Spruce top, solid Mahogany back and sides, a Rosewood fingerboard, adjustable ebony bridge and an oval sound hole for round, warm tones.

The Eastman 504 mandolin offers the simple elegance of traditional hand-craftsmanship and quality tonewoods with a carved solid spruce top, carved maple back and sides and warm, woody tones that recall the fine vintage instruments of the past.

The Eastman 505 mandolin is sweet simplicity in a quality, handcrafted A-Style/F-Hole mandolin with a carved solid spruce top, carved Maple back and sides and sparkling bell tones with superb projection.

The Eastman 505 Diamond is a collaborative design between The Mando Shop and Eastman Mandolins.  Building on the exceptional design of the 505, The Mando Shop gave this mandolin a special flare with a quad abalone diamond inlay on the headstock and abalone diamond fret markers.  The ivoriod bound f-holes aid both the tone and great looks of this exquisite mandolin.  These are a limited edition only found at The Mando Shop.

The Eastman 604 mandolin is a classic A-Style/Oval Hole mandolin in the tradition of the vintage instruments of the 30's and 40's.  It has a carved solid spruce top, carved flamed maple back and sides and the fine tonewoods and oval-hole design provide round bell-tones.

The Eastman 605 mandolin is a classic A-Style/F-Hole mandolin in the tradition of the vintage instruments of the 30's and 40's.  It has a carved solid spruce top, carved flamed maple back and sides, traditional mandolin tones and excellent sound projection.

The Eastman 805 mandolin is a skillfully-crafted instrument using premium tonewoods for sweet, vintage tones.  The top is hand-carved solid Adirondack Spruce.  The back and sides are carved highly-flamed maple with full Ivoroid binding.

The Eastman 805V mandolin is a skillfully-crafted instrument using premium tonewoods for sweet, vintage tones.  The top is hand-carved solid Adirondack Spruce.  The back and sides are carved highly-flamed maple with full Ivoroid binding.  The varnish finish adds a depth of tone characteristic of a varnished mandolin.  Sweet!

The Eastman 805PGE mandolin is a delight for the eyes and ears.  All models now feature solid hand-carved Adirondack spruce tops for outstanding volume and tone.  Standard features include: highly flamed solid hand-carved maple back/sides, ebony fretboard/bridge, bone nut, vintage nickel Schaller tuners and hardware, fully bound body/fretboard/headstock.  The 805PGE has a high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish.  Available finishes are Black, Honey Burst, and Blue.

The Eastman 905 mandolin is a hand-carved masterpiece crafted by our master luthiers with select "private reserve" tonewoods.  It has a hand-carved Adirondack Spruce top with full curly maple binding.  Carved AAA highly-flamed maple back and sides create the unmistakable tones of the old classics.

Eastman F Style Mandolins

The Eastman 315 mandolin is an entry point for traditional craftsmanship and quality tonewoods.  It features a carved solid spruce top with Ivoroid binding and hand-carved solid maple back and sides for remarkable tone and projection.

The Eastman 514 mandolin is sweet simplicity in "Old School" style and quality workmanship.  With a carved solid spruce top and carved solid maple back and sides, the classic F-Style / Oval Hole design produces the round tones of vintage instruments.

The Eastman 515 mandolin is simple elegance borne of traditional craftsmanship and fine tonewoods.  With a carved solid spruce top and carved solid maple back and sides, the classic F-Style/F-Hole design recalls the vintage tones of the past.
